Leaving behind the Old Chioderia and ignoring the bridge and the paved road going up to Codogna, continue along the dirt road that leads into the valley. After about a hundred meters you opt for a barely visible turn that zigzags uphill along a side tributary of the Sanagra.
The path, cobbled, passes near the hanging stone, a striking erratic of glacial origin perfectly embedded in the sides of this small valley (10 minutes). Ascending the trail, you arrive in the small, picturesque hamlet of Barna (25 minutes).
Possible ring: You pass the square in Barna with the church and fountain, opting for a road to the right that leads onto the paved road and a large parking lot. You opt for a cobbled road on the right that, after crossing two large farmhouses, leads directly to Piamuro (30 minutes). From Piamuro you can return to the Chioderia.
Possible ring: You pass the square of Barna with its church and fountain, opting for a path to the left that goes between the tenements. You come to a fountain set in a wall; ignore the Monti Lariani trail by taking a path to the left that leads to the Sass Corbee (40 minutes). To return to the Old Chioderia, one follows back a section of the Geological Trail.
