The crusher was used to press the grapes and squeeze the marc. This tool was operated manually and was used to crush the grapes: they were placed in the funnel-shaped upper part and passed through two rollers operated by a crank. The product was then collected in special containers to be divided between juice and skins, facilitating the winemaking process.
