Description
The hemming machine was used during the hunting season to hem or close hunting cartridges. Equipped with a vise and a support frame, it allowed loaded cartridges to be hemmed. The contraption was attached to the work table and operated by means of a crank and lever.

Preserved specimen
The contraption is fitted at the bottom with a threaded vice. In the center of the frame is the horizontal support structure, in which a cartridge (missing) is inserted. The left end of the support is connected to a crank by the turned pommel, and the right end, in which the cartridge capsule is inserted, to the lever, attached by threading to the center of the support frame
