Iron lock, square in shape, used to securely close a gate. It had an oblong hole for inserting the key and a gear on the back that operated the lock by means of a key guide, spring, and bolt. It was used by turning the key clockwise to open, or counterclockwise to close. Its parts were assembled by die casting and forging.
The object is square in shape. On the front it has an oblong hole (patch) for the insertion of the key, that is, without a hole at the end of the torch, while on the back it has the gear to enable the gate to be closed, consisting of the key guide, spring and bolt.
