The shoe last was a wooden last that mimics the morphology of the foot, used by the shoemaker to make custom-made shoes. These lasts were used in the shoemaker's workshop, where they were used to shape leather and make shoes to fit the customer. The object was created by carving and shaping wood, and its exact shape made it possible to obtain a shoe that adhered perfectly to the shape of the foot.
