Description

The staio was a cylindrical iron vessel used to measure quantities of grain. The top mouth was pierced by an iron splint attached at the edges and in the center by a needle starting at the bottom. Grains were poured inside and leveled to the height of the iron loop placed along the diameter.

cylindrical receptacle corresponding to the unit of measurement for arid formed by a cylindrical band of wood, with the ends fastened together by nails, the upper mouth of which is crossed diametrically by an iron splint fastened at the edges and in the center by a needle from the bottom.
