The threshing machine was used in the cellar to separate grain grains and other products from the casings and straw. The grains were initially fed into a funnel, which fed them into a small net acting as a primary sieve, separating the entire grain from coarser foreign materials, such as stones. Next, the grains were fed into the machinery responsible for the actual threshing, operated manually by a crank. This process allowed the grain to be separated from straw and other waste, returning the product clean and ready for use.
Wooden maccinary.
