Description

The tong is a tool used by blacksmiths to grip and cut pieces of metal. It consists of two crossed arms that move around a pivot, with the long parts serving as handles and the shorter ones intended to grip and hold the piece to be cut. This tool was used to cut metal wires and was held with both hands in the blacksmith's store.
