Description

The anvil was used in shoemaking to rest shoes during repair. Consisting of three cusps (one shaped like the sole of a shoe placed horizontally, one pointed and the last shaped like the heel of a shoe), it was used to shape shoes using the tools needed for the type of work to be done.
