Description

The tree frog was a ritual object used during Holy Week. It had a cylindrical handle with a toothed spool. By swiping a wooden foil against the teeth of the reel, it produced a screeching noise. It was gripped and operated with a counterclockwise circular motion.

The cylindrical handle for the pivot molded part is inserted into a toothed spool. Attached to the sides of the spool is a rectangular frame, in which at the opposite end is nailed a flexible wooden foil, , creeping against the teeth of the roller, produced noise
