Church of St. John the Baptist

La church of St. John the Baptist is located in the hamlet of Gonte, the smallest hamlet in the village. The building retains its original structure as an oratory and was restored in 1899 thanks to the intervention of the Camozzi family, which had frescoes added to the vault on that occasion. The facade houses a fresco, albeit damaged, of Our Lady of the Assumption with Saints Baptist and Catherine.

The interior of the church has a single nave, and the walls are decorated with a 17th-century picture gallery. The chancel houses an 18th-century mixed marble altar with a wooden marble trompe l'oeil tabernacle. The main altarpiece, which dates from the 16th century, depicts the Madonna and Child with Saints John the Baptist and Rocco.
