Pietra Pendula, Val Sanagra

Pendula Stone

La hanging stone is an evocative erratic boulder embedded in a tributary of the Sanagra River coming down from the Barna locality.
Erratics are boulders transported by the Abduan Glacier during the cold phases of the Quaternary Era when ice tongues from the Alpine sectors descended as far as Brianza.

The hanging stone is located on a detour of the route from the Farmhouse La Chioderia leads to the Carliseppi Mill - Spinelli and then to the Sass Corbée. To reach it, turn off the dirt road that leads to the Carliseppi Mill and take the 4 Valleys Trail (which turns off to the right in front of the trout-breeding ponds) and climb it for a few turns.
