Description

The tool was used to grind coffee or barley beans. Made of wood and iron, it had a removable drawer, an external crank and an internal gear wheel that operated the grinding mechanism.

Preserved specimen

The wooden surface is in the shape of a parallelepiped, with a raised base. One of the sides contains the removable drawer, fitted with a small wooden knob in the center. On the upper raised face is placed the funnel of hemispherical shape. Inside, there is the toothed wheel, connected to the outer crank, fitted at the end with a turned handle.
