Preserved specimen
Fossil of the medullary region of a trunk bark of Sigillaria rugosa.
The specimen is found charred in a sandstone deposit formed by millimeter classes (Manno conglomerate formation).
The trunk is reduced to an anthracitic carbonaceous patina that covers the entire thickness of the find.
