Preserved specimen
Fossil of the medullary region of a trunk bark of Sigillaria rugosa.
The specimen is found charred in a conglomerate formed by centimeter classes of coarse matrix (Manno conglomerate formation).
The trunk consists of an anthracitic carbonaceous deposit a few millimeters thick.
