Description

Paralepidotus ornatus is a semionotide Very common in the Noric seas.
The most striking feature of this species are the robust parallelepiped-shaped scales and the tail typically heterocsearch, typical of the most primitive Triassic fish.
Rounded teeth made Paralepidotus a shredder fish like today's bream.
