The most substantial settlement in the Sanagra Valley is called the Mills (or Mills) and consists of about ten houses and other buildings. In this locality there were two mills: the Carliseppi and the Spinelli.
Until the 19th century, ownership of the mills belonged to the Guaita family, which often supplemented local production with wheat derricks purchased directly in Como.
Later, the mills were acquired by Carliseppi and Spinelli.
The latter was the last to cease operations, on June 28, 1962, due to damage caused by a river flood that changed the watercourse, lowering it and making it impossible for the facilities to function. Moreover, as the Italian economy changed and farming activities were abandoned, raw material had to be increasingly imported, as the fields were no longer cultivated by farmers.
