The Valley Mill is located in an area not far from "Cion" and is accessible via a charming old stone bridge.
This mill, an important crossroads in the lower part of the Sanagra Valley, is connected to four main routes: the route coming from Piamuro, the stairway leading to Codogna, the path leading to Cardano and the path joining the Galli Furnace and the Old Chioderia.
Like other mills in the area, this one exploited an irrigation ditch, as much as 150 meters long. In addition to feeding the millstones, the water continued its course, channeled to the other side of the river, where it was used by the Grass Spinning Mill.
The activity ceased in 1939 due to some serious damage to the canal caused by a landslide. Large grindstones made of gonfolite stone from Sirone, used for flour production, can still be seen nearby.
The structures of the old mill have been upgraded and are now in good condition.
