The Common Hare is a mammal belonging to the Leporidae family, medium to large in size, with a body length of 50-70 cm and a weight ranging from 3 to 7 kg. It has a grayish-brown coat with reddish hues, and its belly is generally lighter in color. Its long ears and muscular hind legs are distinctive features, enabling it to jump quickly and reach high speeds. It lives mainly in open environments such as fields, meadows and agricultural areas throughout Europe, Asia and North Africa. The common hare is a herbivorous animal, usually solitary, active mainly at dusk and during the night.
