Partridge

La Partridge is a small to medium-sized bird, with a length of about 35 cm and a wingspan ranging from 50 to 55 cm. Its plumage is bluish on the upper part and chest, while the throat is white, with a distinctive black stripe extending from the forehead to the throat. The wings have a brownish hue tending to red, with black edges, while the lower part of the body has a rust coloration.

The flapping wings are dark brownish, and the primary outer feathers are rust-red with yellowish angles and red in the corners. The eyes are brown, the beak is red, and the feet are pale red.

The partridge is similar to the chukar, another bird in the same family, but is distinguished by its plumage and slightly smaller size. The male, while almost identical to the female, possesses a short spur at the tarsus and is generally somewhat larger than the female.
