The White Hare is a species of hare belonging to the family Leporidae, also known as the Variable Hare or Alpine Hare. Characterized by its ability to change coat color depending on the season, it has white fur in winter to blend in with snow and grayish-brown fur in summer to adapt to rocky, vegetated terrain. This species is typical of the mountainous areas of Europe and Asia, especially in the Alps, Apennines and some parts of central Asia. It is a medium-sized animal with long ears and an agile body, used to living at high altitudes, often over 1,500 meters.
