Preserved specimen

Fossil of the medullary region of the bark of a horsetail of the genus Calamites. The specimen is found charred in a conglomerate formed by millimeter classes of medium-fine matrix (Manno conglomerate formation). The stem consists of an anthracitic carbonaceous deposit that covers the inner thickness of the specimen. The mediocre preservation of the specimen did not allow the species to be attributed with certainty.
